Every Sunday, I find myself either glued to the TV to watch football or heading to the stadium to catch Ajax in action. However, a significant issue plagues the world of football: racism. Despite football clubs making transfers worldwide and the recent awareness in the news, the problem persists.
During my time at art school, I felt compelled to raise more awareness about this pervasive issue. I decided to channel my efforts into designing sneakers and a clothing jacket that could serve as a powerful medium to convey the message to a broader audience. The aim was to create products that not only unite people but also spark conversations about racism in football. It's a small step towards addressing the problem and how it can be fixed, while fostering a passion for football, free from racism.
